Saving Victims of China's Dog Meat Trade
Every year, around 10 million dogs are estimated to lose their lives to China’s meat trade. Whether sold by breeders, found on the street, or stolen from loving homes, these dogs end up in the same place and situation.
They are abused, tortured, starved, neglected, and exposed to horrific and barbaric treatment, and then they are brutally slaughtered and sold for human consumption.

Rescued From the
Meat Trade
Based in China, Saving Harbin Dogs rescues animals from dog meat trucks, slaughterhouses and abusive conditions, providing urgent medical treatment and care.
Volunteer-Led
Rescue Efforts
Saving Harbin Dogs is a fully volunteer-run organisation with no permanent shelter. Instead, rescued dogs are placed into foster homes while volunteers coordinate rescue, treatment and adoption.
Giving Dogs a
Second Chance
After rescue, dogs receive veterinary care and rehabilitation before being placed into safe foster homes and eventually adopted into loving families.
