Kurt Johnson and Murray

Kurt Johnson is the Co-Founder and Director of One Body LDN. He qualified with a Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) in 2020 after completing a five-year osteopathy degree at the University College of Osteopathy. His professional background spans musculoskeletal rehabilitation, manual therapy, strength and conditioning, performance coaching and competitive sport.

At One Body LDN, Kurt oversees operations, growth and clinic performance across the organisation. He works alongside Co-Founder and Clinical Director Rebecca Bossick, combining his background in healthcare, performance and business operations with Rebecca’s leadership of physiotherapy clinical standards and governance.

Before moving into healthcare full-time, Kurt spent 14 years with the London Fire Brigade. He received the Adam Meere Award for Best Recruit during his initial firefighter training and was later deployed to the Pandemic Multi-Agency Response Team (PMART) during the COVID-19 response. Alongside his fire service career, he studied osteopathy and continued developing his experience in rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and performance coaching.

Kurt’s approach to rehabilitation has also been shaped by more than two decades of competitive sport. He is a former UK national martial arts champion in Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing and was ranked among the UK’s Top 10 professional K1 fighters by the WKO. His wider competitive background includes boxing, MMA, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and strongman, as well as marathon running.

Alongside competing, Kurt has worked as a personal trainer and coach, preparing and cornering athletes for championship events across combat sports and strength competitions. This has given him first-hand experience of physical preparation, injury rehabilitation, progressive return to training and the demands of competitive performance.

In clinical practice, Kurt’s areas of focus include musculoskeletal rehabilitation, joint and muscle pain, persistent injuries, exercise-based rehabilitation and return to performance. His approach combines manual therapy with exercise prescription, strength and conditioning and progressive rehabilitation tailored to the individual’s goals, activity level and stage of recovery.

In 2020, Kurt founded Osteo LDN and began working alongside Rebecca Bossick at Physio LDN. Their complementary backgrounds in physiotherapy, osteopathy, rehabilitation and performance helped form the foundations of what later became One Body LDN.

Today, Kurt’s primary focus is developing One Body LDN as a scalable London healthcare organisation while maintaining the operational standards, clinician support and patient experience required across a growing clinic network.
