How does physiotherapy help with movement and recovery?
Physiotherapy helps patients restore movement and function by using evidence-based treatments, including manual physio techniques, acupuncture, ultrasound, electrotherapy, exercise prescription, shockwave therapy, stretches, and strengthening exercises.
Our specialists focus on improving movement patterns through manual techniques to ensure long-term recovery and pain relief.
Is private physiotherapy better than NHS?
The NHS offer a fantastic service with physios who do a great job – however, the waiting times for an appointment can range from many weeks to months. This results in your pain being with you a lot longer than is necessary and your condition becoming potentially chronic and a lot harder to resolve!
NHS appointments – due to constraints and demands – are very short, sometimes 10-15mins long. With private services, your sessions can be up to 90 minutes long – offering a high level of bespoke care and service which could see you rapidly recover from your pains or injuries.
You can book a private physiotherapy appointment today for a one-on-one session with our experts. We also provide in-clinic and video consultation physiotherapy for your convenience. Whether you prefer visiting our sports injury and back pain clinic or need online support, we’re here to help.
Do you offer a same-day appointment?
Yes, we certainly do.
Booking availability with our team fills up fast, so we would encourage you to book an initial appointment as soon as you can to secure a same-day slot.
On the occasion that we are fully booked for the rest of the day, your options are:
1 – Book an appointment for the following day.
2- Check the availability of treatment services at our other nearby clinics. We may be able to accommodate you!
Do you offer emergency physio at your clinics?
Yes, we do. We treat all acute injuries with care and the level of urgency that our patients need.
Please contact us to book your emergency appointment with a clinical specialist.
All emergency physio appointments are within our normal working hours and charged at our standard rate.
What physiotherapist from your team should I choose for my treatment sessions?
All of our team are degree-qualified and fully trained to treat all MSK conditions with manual physio and rehab physio techniques.
However, we completely understand that you may want some guidance bespoke.
Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact us today. Please include as much detail as possible so we can give you the best answers and solutions.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Book your free initial appointment with a physiotherapist today.
How long are physiotherapy sessions at your physio clinics?
Our services range from 25 minutes to 80 minutes.
For first-time users, we recommend a 50 or 80-minute session. This will give your clinician ample time to take a thorough case history and assessment.
If time is an issue, we can still see you for 25 minutes for your first session. However, please be aware that massage or exercise time will be limited due to time spent on your assessment.
For sports massages, choosing 25, 50 or 80 minutes depends simply on how much time you want to treat and what body parts you want to address.
For example, 25 minutes will be ample time for treating the neck and shoulders. But if you wanted a full-body massage – then you would need a 50 or 80-minute session.
How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed depends on the condition and the person we treat. Your clinical specialist will give you an accurate physiotherapy programme during your first visit.
As a rule of thumb, you can expect dramatic improvements in 4-6 sessions for acute cases. You’ll often feel reduced pain from the first session (generally from hands-on manual physio techniques).
Generally, the longer you’ve had the problem, the longer it will take to resolve it. And this may require longer-term exercise and rehab physio to fix your problems. Your tissues, postures and condition will have changed over time. Changes like these and improving movement patterns through manual techniques, stretches, and strengthening exercises can take time.
At our 5-star hubs, we’re here to help you! And what we can assure you of is complete transparency. We don’t aim to over or under-treat. We aim to get you better in the shortest amount of time possible.
Is physiotherapy free in London?
On the NHS, yes, but there are often times incredibly long queues and waiting times to see patients, as well as very short sessions.
At One Body, we offer a free first assessment with a physiotherapist to discuss your condition, assess your needs, and create a personalised treatment plan. This allows you to experience our private musculoskeletal physiotherapy services and get expert advice on your recovery journey.
You can also get your physiotherapy treatment, massage, consultant visits, rehab physio, surgery and many other services at no cost using your private health insurance.

How do I find the best physio in London to treat my condition?
“Where is the best physiotherapist London has to offer?” We get asked this a lot.
We recommend basing who you choose to start your treatments with on client results and reviews.
You should then aim to find out as much as you can about the team or potential physiotherapist and ask any questions you need to see if the clinic provides experienced physiotherapy and is the right fit for you.
With our style of treatments, we’re biased and would say to visit us at any of our clinic hubs. But talk to your friends or find out from others what they’ve enjoyed.
The main thing is that whoever you visit, you feel comfortable with, listened to and cared for.
I want to find the best physiotherapy near me, but I am unsure of what to look for
