Can I use my private health insurance here — and am I covered?
Yes. We accept AXA, Bupa, Vitality, Cigna, WPA, and international policies (including Bupa International and Cigna International).
Most corporate and professional roles include private health insurance as a benefit, so many clients are already covered — often without realising it.
Using insurance for physio is the norm, not the exception.
The majority of our patients use PHI to treat back pain, knee injuries, posture-related pain, sports injuries, and ongoing aches.
Will I have to pay anything? Are there hidden or future costs?
Usually, your insurer covers the sessions approved on your policy.
You may need to pay:
- An excess (set by your insurer)
- Any sessions beyond your authorised limit
We are fully transparent and encourage you to check if there is an excess or shortfall on your policy.
Important: if you attend a session without valid authorisation (e.g., your insurance details have not been submitted to us in advance), the session becomes self-funded and payable by you.
Is it complicated to use insurance? Do I need a referral?
No — it’s very straightforward.
You send us your initial details, and we handle the admin.
Unlike most clinics, we provide a step-by-step portal that shows you exactly how to get authorisation and submit codes. It usually takes around 10 minutes.
Most insurers are happy to approve physio, and many policies don’t require a GP referral.
What do I need before my first insurance appointment?
After booking, we’ll send you a short form to complete. We will ask for details about your insurance policy and authorisation.
Please ensure the details are submitted before your treatment session. If this isn’t completed before your session, the appointment will be self-funded and billed to you.
How easy is it to book using insurance? What happens after I book?

How do I claim back with cashback cover?
Cashback works slightly differently:
- You book and pay privately as normal
- After your session, we send you a receipt (not before)
The receipt includes all details needed to claim.
If your insurer needs extra information (e.g., your address), you can submit it via our client hub and request an updated invoice.
Are your physios HCPC registered?
Yes — all our physiotherapists are HCPC registered, which is required for insurance and cashback claims.
Each receipt includes your physio’s HCPC number for easy claiming.

Physio Coverage with Major Insurers
Important information
Our standard private rate is £185 for a 55-minute session.
If your insurance includes a co-pay or has a session price cap, you may prefer to self-fund your appointments and claim back via invoice.
Our self-pay rates are discounted to support our long-standing and returning clients.
Some insurers also pay us a reduced agreed fee based on client volume. These rates are pre-negotiated directly with the insurer.
The length of your appointment is set by your insurer’s approved fee, not by us.
Insurance providers typically do not cover missed or late-cancelled appointments.
If you fail to attend or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, the session will be charged to you in line with our cancellation policy.
