I recently started working with Magenta and I couldn't be happier with my progress so far. Magenta is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and tailored her treatment plan to my specific needs (lower back pain). Her positive attitude and encouragement made the sessions enjoyable, even when the exercises were challenging. Thanks to Magenta, I have seen a significant improvement in my mobility and overall well-being. I highly recommend Magenta to anyone in need of physiotherapy services.

I have been very impressed with the therapy I’ve received by Magenta. She has helped with many of my pregnancy issues including lower back, neck and hip pain. She has a wealth of knowledge and is constantly up-skilling herself to ensure she has the most up to date practises. For me, she has used a combination of massage and giving me exercises to do at home. Not only that, but she has a wonderful disposition and is always happy to chat and see how I’m getting on. She has been there throughout my second and third trimester and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Highly recommend Magenta/Danielle! Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and all-around lovely people. They gave me very helpful advice/support for strength and flexibility training, including deep tissue massages and acupuncture during the sessions. Without them, I would not have been able to recover from my IT band injury before my ultramarathon this summer.

I had a very positive experience working with Magenta on my rehabilitation following a tri-malleolar ankle fracture and surgery. It was a long and tricky recovery journey, but Magenta's professionalism, advice and positive attitude were extremely helpful in dealing with the whole thing. Thank you, Magenta and One Body LDN 🙂

I was on a week's business trip to London and had severe recurrence of slip disc induced sciatic pain in my left leg. In order to prep for the long return trip back to India the next day, I went for 1 session to One body LDN. Mridul, the physio, did a great job in understanding my problem, the pain areas and providing a deep tissue massage that helped me manage my pain during the return flight. Thanks Mridul and One body LDN!

Appendix: Key Terms and Concepts for Twisted knee

Swelling: A twisted knee can result in pain, swelling, and limited mobility, knee sprain. It is a common problem, especially for individuals who engage in sports that involve speed and sudden changes in direction. Rest and proper treatment are essential for a full recovery from injuries. If it is very painful, swollen, or has changed shape, it is important to seek urgent medical advice.

X-ray: If you have a twisted knee, your doctor may recommend an x-ray to determine if there is a broken bone or any other damage to the knee. An x-ray can show if there is a fracture or arthritis present. In addition to an x-ray, your doctor may also recommend other imaging tests such as a CT scan or MRI to assess the soft tissues and cartilage in the knee. These tests can help provide a more comprehensive diagnosis and guide the appropriate treatment for your twisted knee.

Lateral collateral ligament: When you twist your knee, there is a risk of injuring the lateral collateral ligament (LCL), which helps keep it stable on the side. The LCL is one of the collateral ligaments that limit how much your can move from side to side. If the LCL is sprained or injured, you may experience symptoms such as pain, swelling, and difficulty with stability. It is important to seek medical attention if you suspect a twisted knee and possible LCL injury, as proper diagnosis and treatment are necessary for recovery.

Medial collateral ligament: A twisted knee can result in various injuries, including damage to the medial collateral ligament (MCL). The MCL runs along the inside of the knee and helps provide stability. When the MCL is sprained or injured, symptoms such as pain, swelling, and difficulty walking may occur. It is important to seek medical attention for a twisted knee and receive appropriate treatment, which may include rest, ice, compression, and physical therapy. Rehabilitation exercises can help strengthen and promote healing of the MCL.

Cruciate ligaments: A twisted knee can result in damage to the cruciate ligaments, specifically the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). These ligaments are responsible for providing stability to the knee joint and controlling its forward and backward motion. When injured, they can cause pain, swelling, and instability in the knee. It is important to seek medical attention and undergo appropriate treatment for a twisted knee, including rehabilitation exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles and support the healing process.

A twisted knee can refer to two different types of injuries: a sprained knee and a strained knee. A sprained occurs when the ligaments around the joint are torn or overstretched, causing pain, swelling, instability, and limited range of motion. On the other hand, a strained knee involves injury to the muscles and/or tendons in the knee. Both types of injuries can be painful and may lead to long-term problems if not properly treated.

Most common knee injuries: One of the most common knee injuries is a twisted. This injury often occurs during sports or activities that involve twisting motions, such as football or basketball. A twisted knee can result in soft tissue damage, including torn cartilage, such as a meniscus tear. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as pain, swelling, or instability in the knee. Prompt treatment and proper rehabilitation can help prevent further complications and promote healing.

Inflammation: When a knee is twisted, it can lead to inflammation in the surrounding tissues. This inflammation can cause pain, swelling, and stiffness in the affected area. It is important to treat it promptly to reduce inflammation and promote healing. Resting the knee, applying ice, and taking anti-inflammatory medication can help alleviate symptoms. Physical therapy exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the knee and prevent future injuries.

ACL injuries are one of the most serious types of injury and are commonly caused by an over-twisted knee. This can occur when changing direction or pivoting quickly, as well as during sporting tackles where the foot is stuck to the floor and the shin bone is pushed inwards or backwards too far. Recovery time for ACL injuries can vary, with those requiring surgery typically taking four to six months to recover. However, about 80 to 90 percent of people with ACL injuries will experience a full recovery.

A twisted knee is usually caused by a sudden, forceful movement or a traumatic injury to the knee joint. This can occur during sports activities, falls, or accidents. The twisting motion can cause ligament sprains, muscle strains, or even tears in the knee structures, leading to pain and instability.
