Much love to you and Rebecca! See you both soon.

We have been training together for years and I had more confidence in him. I knew he'd understand these types of injuries.
He knew exactly what it was and how to treat it without causing me any discomfort

I walked away with a better understanding of my body, my posture and what I personally need to focus on.
Would highly recommend - thank you!

He immediately treated my stiff upper back and hip issues on the first session - wasting no time at all! Within just a couple of sessions, I felt instant improvements in my weight training and running. I haven't looked back since!

Kurt has a deep understanding of anatomy and was able to quickly locate the source of my problem and explain how the referred pain originated.
His professionalism is second to none. He has a gentle hand and a calming manner - all which are essential when treatment has a tendency to be uncomfortable! His aftercare included advice and exercises to prevent similar pain in future and courtesy follow up message which I really valued.
I can't thank him enough and have referred all my friends!

Being a professional MMA fighter for over 9 years, I've had some serious injuries. Over the last 12 months, I sustained one of my worst. I almost completely ruptured my adductor and the bottom of my abs.
These guys were both crucial to my recovery and within weeks of treatment, I saw massive results. A few months later, and I'm back to complete health and fighting shape!

Champion Professional MMA fighter
She provides a really good blend of massage and acupuncture in the sessions with advice and exercises to take home.
Rebecca also does really helpful video sessions, especially focused on rehab exercises (introducing new ones, checking the form of old ones, etc).
She is also thoroughly lovely as well 🙂

Her examination on my first visit was very thorough. She was very attentive and detailed in collecting my medical history.
Following just a few sessions, I found significant improvements in mobility and alleviation of pain.
I don't think you'd find a better physio anywhere and highly recommend Rebecca.

Kurt is the best sports therapist I have come across in London - someone who truly loves their job and can actually make you injury-free.

Don't wait until you're hurt or have an injury. You could avoid it with One Body LDN!
Physio isn't just about recovering from pain, but about improving overall physical health and strength, and this is a must for anyone that takes part in any kind of physical activity. I have been coming here for almost a year now, and whilst I have had sessions to recover from injuries, you can also benefit from so much more.
They will be able to provide physio, osteopathy, a general body MOT, PT services, acupuncture, health and exercise advice and knowledge... it's fairly limitless.
In my time with these guys I haven't just repaired from injury, I've learned beyond expectations about better form, techniques, nutrition, improved lifting... It's just a shame I had to get an injury to find them!
Don't delay. Book a session. Go in for a diagnosis. They will know more than you about what's going on with your body. See what they say and advise. You'll be amazed what you learn and how much better off you'll be for it.

Appendix: key terms and concepts for facet joint pain
Facet joint pain is a common cause of lower back pain. The facet joints are small joints located between each vertebra in the spine that provide stability and allow for movement. When these joints become inflamed or injured, they can cause localized dull ache in the lower back or referred pain into the buttock/back of the thigh. Exercise is an effective way to manage facet joint pain and physical therapists can help strengthen and stretch your lower back, leg, and stomach muscles to alleviate the symptoms.
Facet joint syndrome is a condition that can cause significant back and neck pain. It occurs due to degenerative changes in the joints between the spine bones. The cartilage inside the facet joint can break down and become inflamed, which triggers pain signals in nearby nerve endings. This condition is more common in elderly people as changes at the joints develop with aging. Heavy work before age 20 can also increase the likelihood of developing facet joint osteoarthritis. If you are experiencing facet joint pain, it’s important to seek medical attention for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Facet joint pain can be diagnosed and treated with a facet joint injection. During this minimally invasive procedure, a combination of numbing medications and corticosteroids are injected into the facet joint using X-ray guidance to ensure accuracy. The patient’s pain level is evaluated before and after the injection, and monitored over the next week. If the pain level decreases by more than 75%, it confirms that the facet joint is involved in causing pain. This procedure is often considered when conservative measures fail and can provide relief from pain while reducing side effects from medications.
Facet joint pain is a common condition that can cause discomfort and limit mobility. Inflammation is one of the main causes of this type of pain. Steroid joint injections can help to reduce inflammation and swelling in the nerves, providing relief for patients suffering from facet joint pain. Injuries or wear and tear of the facet joint can also lead to inflammation, muscle spasm, or the nerves becoming hyper-sensitized. Additionally, inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis can contribute to the development of facet joint disease.
Facet joint pain can be a symptom of various spinal conditions, including spondylolisthesis. Spondylolisthesis is the forward displacement of a vertebra, usually in the lumbar spine. It can be caused by degeneration of the facet joints and is often seen at the L4-L5 level. Obesity is also a contributing factor to facet joint disease and osteoarthritis. If experiencing symptoms of facet joint pain, it’s essential to consult an experienced healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
Facet joint pain can be a symptom of various spinal conditions, including spondylolisthesis. This condition is caused by the slippage of one vertebra over another, often due to degenerative changes in the facet joints. Obesity is a major contributing factor in the development of facet joint disease which leads to osteoarthritis. An accurate diagnosis is crucial in treating facet joint pain, and it is recommended to consult with an experienced healthcare professional for proper management and care.
Facet joint pain is caused by the degeneration of the facet joints in the spine. These joints protect the vertebral discs, spinal nerve roots, and spinal cord by helping to guide and limit the movement of that spinal segment. If conservative care fails, a rhizotomy (burning the anterior or posterior spinal nerve roots) may be done for long-term relief. Lumbar facet joint disorders commonly cause lower back pain and stiffness, which may worsen after periods of inactivity. In severe cases, radicular leg pain (sciatica) may occur due to spinal nerve root impingement.
Facet joint pain can be caused by the compression of spinal nerve roots and is often associated with lower back pain. The facet joints play an important role in protecting the vertebral discs, spinal nerve roots, and spinal cord by helping to guide and limit the movement of that spinal segment. Conservative approaches such as anti-inflammatory drugs and physical therapy can provide some relief, but in more severe cases, a rhizotomy may be done. Surgical intervention may also be necessary if conservative care fails to relieve the pain.
Facet joint pain is a common cause of back pain that affects the facet joints in the spine. The facet joints are small, bony structures that provide stability and support to the spine. They are located on either side of each vertebra and help to guide movement between adjacent vertebrae. When these joints become inflamed or damaged, it can cause pain and discomfort. Understanding the anatomy of the facet joints is crucial in diagnosing and treating facet joint pain. Diagnostic procedures such as imaging and facet joint blocks can help identify the source of chronic spinal pain and guide specific interventions to eliminate facet joint pain.
Facet joint pain is a common cause of back pain that affects the spine’s anatomy. The facet joints are small joints located between and behind adjacent vertebrae, which allow for movement and stability in the spine. When these joints become inflamed or irritated, they can cause pain and discomfort. Facet joint pain is often caused by degenerative changes in the spine, such as arthritis or disc herniation. Diagnostic procedures like facet joint block can help identify the source of chronic spinal pain and determine appropriate treatment options. Understanding the anatomy of the facet joints is essential to effective management of this condition.
Facet joint pain occurs when there is inflammation in the synovial joints located between the vertebrae in the spine. These joints are lined with cartilage and covered by a joint capsule that is responsible for lubricating and protecting the joints. The joint capsule is more likely to generate pain than the articular cartilage or the synovium. It also contributes to proprioception, which helps us sense movement and position of our body and limbs in space. Clinical examination is necessary to confirm the source of pain before treatment can be administered.
Facet joint pain can be diagnosed through physical examination and imaging studies such as X-ray, CT scan, or MRI. These tests help in identifying the root cause of the pain and check for other spine-related problems. Although these imaging studies may show degeneration, joint space narrowing, facet joint hypertrophy, joint space calcification, and osteophytes, they may not always indicate pain as they may be present in both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. Therefore, it’s important to consult with a specialist consultant or clinic if imaging is needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
Facet joint pain is a condition that can be caused by degenerative disc disease. This happens when the lumbar discs start to degenerate from wear and tear, and the space between the lumbar vertebra becomes smaller. The symptoms of facet joint pain may overlap with other lower back conditions, making it difficult to diagnose. If other treatments do not provide relief, spine fusion surgery may be an option for those experiencing nerve root compression from enlarged facet joints or spinal instability.
Facet syndrome is a common cause of chronic low back pain, affecting 15 to 41% of people. It is an articular disorder related to the facet joints and their innervations, which can produce both local and radiating pain. The majority of cases occur in the cervical vertebrae (55%) and lumbar (31%). Facet syndrome can trigger episodes of neck and low back pain that may spread into other areas such as the buttocks, upper leg, shoulders, or upper back. It’s important to note that aging and wear-and-tear don’t always equate to pain.
Facet joint pain is a common condition that can cause tenderness in the affected area. The doctor may manipulate the joints or feel for tenderness over the spine to diagnose the problem properly. Referred or radiating pain into the buttock/back of the thigh can also be felt if a spinal nerve is irritated at the facet joint. This type of pain can be sharp and shooting and may result in muscle weakness in the affected leg. Limitation of extension and rotation, as well as increased pain with rotating, twisting or bending the spine backward, are also common symptoms of facet joint pain.
Facet joint pain can be diagnosed through a diagnostic facet joint injection. This involves injecting the joint with a local anesthetic and corticosteroid medication to confirm the source of the pain. The injection is done under X-ray fluoroscopy to ensure accurate needle placement in the facet joint. An anesthetic is also used to confirm a diagnosis of facet joint syndrome. If there is immediate relief of pain after the injection, it indicates that the condition is facet joint syndrome. In addition, injecting an anesthetic and cortisone medication into the suspected facet joint can help diagnose pain originating from the facet.
Facet joint pain is commonly caused by degeneration or wear and tear of the facet joints, which are small joints located between each vertebra in the spine. Other causes include injury or trauma to the joint, arthritis, and spinal conditions such as herniated discs or spinal stenosis.
