I recently started working with Magenta and I couldn't be happier with my progress so far. Magenta is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and tailored her treatment plan to my specific needs (lower back pain). Her positive attitude and encouragement made the sessions enjoyable, even when the exercises were challenging. Thanks to Magenta, I have seen a significant improvement in my mobility and overall well-being. I highly recommend Magenta to anyone in need of physiotherapy services.

I have been very impressed with the therapy I’ve received by Magenta. She has helped with many of my pregnancy issues including lower back, neck and hip pain. She has a wealth of knowledge and is constantly up-skilling herself to ensure she has the most up to date practises. For me, she has used a combination of massage and giving me exercises to do at home. Not only that, but she has a wonderful disposition and is always happy to chat and see how I’m getting on. She has been there throughout my second and third trimester and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Highly recommend Magenta/Danielle! Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and all-around lovely people. They gave me very helpful advice/support for strength and flexibility training, including deep tissue massages and acupuncture during the sessions. Without them, I would not have been able to recover from my IT band injury before my ultramarathon this summer.

I was on a week's business trip to London and had severe recurrence of slip disc induced sciatic pain in my left leg. In order to prep for the long return trip back to India the next day, I went for 1 session to One body LDN. Mridul, the physio, did a great job in understanding my problem, the pain areas and providing a deep tissue massage that helped me manage my pain during the return flight. Thanks Mridul and One body LDN!

Appendix: Key Terms and Concepts for Ankle ligaments damage

Ankle sprains are a common injury that can occur in people of all ages and activity levels. They happen when one or more of the ligaments in the ankle are stretched or torn, resulting in pain, swelling, and difficulty walking. Ankle ligaments connect the foot bones to the lower leg bones and can become overstretch or tear due to sudden movements or twisting of the ankle. It is important to seek medical attention if you suspect an ankle sprain, as proper treatment and rehabilitation can help prevent long-term damage and chronic pain.

Ankle pain can be caused by a number of different factors but one of the most common causes is damage to the ligaments in the ankle. Ligament problems are often the source of most ankle pain and they don’t show up on regular x-rays. It’s important to seek proper treatment and rehabilitation for a severe sprain to avoid long-term problems like chronic ankle pain, arthritis, and instability. Cleveland Clinic offers specialized care for ankle pain treatment with expert doctors and specialists ready to help patients recover from this type of injury.

Injured ankle: An injured ankle can result in damage to the ligaments, leading to swelling and inflammation. Without proper care and treatment, it may not heal properly, resulting in recurrent sprains and decreased stability. A physical exam is usually conducted by a healthcare provider to assess the extent of the injury, including looking for signs of swelling and bruising over the injured ligaments. In severe cases, X-rays may be taken to rule out any broken bones or other underlying problems. Proper care and rehabilitation are essential for a full recovery from an injured ankle.

Ankle injuries are common and can occur when one or more of the ligaments in the ankle are stretched or torn. These injuries can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty walking. It is essential to seek medical attention if an ankle sprain causes more than slight pain and swelling. Treatment for ankle injuries may range from nonsurgical options such as rest, ice, compression using an elastic bandage, and elevation to surgical options depending on the severity of the injury. The majority of ankle injuries occur in the plantarflexion position due to the least stable position of the ankle joint.

Warm up exercises play a crucial role in preventing ankle ligament damage. It is essential to maintain good muscle strength, balance, and flexibility to avoid sprains. Stretching and warming up before exercise or physical activity can help enhance ankle stability and prevent injuries. Additionally, it is recommended to wear shoes that fit well and avoid walking or running on uneven surfaces. Taking these precautions can significantly reduce the risk of ankle sprains and other ligament damage.

The deltoid ligament is located on the inside of the ankle and is responsible for stabilizing the joint. Ankle sprains can occur when this ligament is damaged, usually by an eversion injury where the foot turns outwards.

An ankle brace is a medical tool that can be used to prevent and treat ankle injuries. It supports the ankle joint and helps to stabilize it, reducing pain and swelling. Ankle braces are often recommended for people who have suffered from ankle ligament damage as they provide extra support during the healing process.

Arthroscopy: Ankle ligament damage can be treated with arthroscopy, a surgical procedure that involves the use of a small camera and miniature instruments to remove any loose fragments of bone or cartilage, or parts of the ligament that may be caught in the joint. This procedure is often recommended for patients who have not responded to non-surgical treatments such as rest, ice pack, gp, compression, and elevation. Arthroscopy is minimally invasive and has a shorter recovery time compared to traditional open surgery. It is important to seek medical attention if you have persistent pain or swelling in your ankle after an injury as it could indicate ligament damage.

Ankle bones: Ankle ligaments are bands of tissue that connect the bones in your ankle. They help to stabilize the joint and prevent excessive movement. When these ligaments are stretched or torn due to rolling, twisting, or turning the ankle in an awkward way, it can result in a sprained ankle. The deltoid ligament on the inside of the ankle is most commonly torn in association with severe fractures of the ankle bones. However, sporting injuries of this ligament are rare. The lateral ligament on the outside of the ankle is made up of three separate bands and is more frequently affected by sprains.

Medical advice: It is important to seek medical advice from a qualified clinician if you have ankle ligament damage. This information provided here is for educational purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for direct medical advice. Consulting an orthopaedic surgeon is highly recommended if you are seeking specific orthopaedic advice or assistance. Any information on third party websites referred to in this matter should also be taken with caution and not used as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment in London.

Sports medicine: Ankle ligament damage is a common injury in sports, and it requires proper treatment and prevention to avoid complications. Sports medicine is the field that deals with these injuries and provides evidence-based clinical guidelines for diagnosis, treatment in London, and prevention of ankle sprains. A physiotherapist can help the patient with strengthening exercises to improve lower leg muscle strength. In the acute stages of the injury, first aid is provided by applying a splint and taping. Proper care and rehabilitation can help the patient recover from ankle ligament damage faster.

Chronic ankle instability can occur as a result of an ankle sprain, particularly syndesmotic sprains that are common in contact sports. The severity of the sprain and how much damage it does to the ligaments can also contribute to chronic ankle instability. Incomplete rehabilitation or failure to continue with strengthening exercises is another leading cause of chronic ankle instability after a sprain. Heat therapy and specific strengthening exercises can promote faster healing and prevent this condition from occurring. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience swelling, pain, or limited range of motion after an ankle sprain.

Tibia: Ankle ligament damage is commonly associated with sprains affecting the ligaments of the outer ankle. However, less common are sprains affecting the ligaments of the inner ankle (medial ankle sprains) and syndesmotic sprains, which injure the tibiofibular ligaments that join the two leg bones (the tibia and fibula) just above the ankle. Damage to these ligaments can cause significant pain, swelling, and instability in the ankle joint. Therefore, it is important to seek medical attention if you suspect an ankle injury to prevent further damage or complications.

Tenderness: Ankle ligament damage can cause tenderness and pain in the affected area. This tenderness is usually accompanied by swelling and bruising, making it difficult to bear weight on the injured ankle. The severity of the damage to the ligaments determines the extent of symptoms and recovery time.

Immobilization: When it comes to ankle ligament damage, immobilization is often necessary for a short period of time. However, studies have shown that restoring ankle function with the aid of splints, braces, taping, or elastic bandages can help people return to their normal activities sooner than complete immobilization. After the initial phase of immobilization, physical therapy is usually recommended to strengthen the ankle and improve balance. Assistive devices like crutches may also be used to keep weight off the ankle during the healing process. In most cases, surgery is not required after an acute ankle sprain.

An inversion injury is the most common cause of ankle ligament damage. This type of injury occurs when the foot rolls inward, causing damage to the ligaments on the outer ankle, including the anterior talofibular ligament, the calcaneofibular ligament, and the posterior talofibular ligament. Ankle sprains are usually caused by sudden twisting or turning movements, such as during sports activities or while walking on uneven surfaces. It is important to properly rehabilitate any previous injuries to prevent further damage to the ankle ligaments.

Ankle torn ligaments can be a painful and debilitating injury that requires prompt and appropriate treatment. The first step in treating this type of injury is to accurately diagnose the extent of the damage through medical imaging such as X-rays or MRI scans. Once the severity of the tear has been determined, a treatment plan can be developed. Non-surgical options may include rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE), along with physical therapy exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles and improve mobility. In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to repair or reconstruct the damaged ligaments. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the best course of treatment based on individual circumstances. With proper care and rehabilitation, most individuals can expect a successful recovery from ankle torn ligaments.

Symptoms of an ankle ligament injury include pain, swelling, bruising, instability, difficulty bearing weight, and limited range of motion. It is important to seek medical attention if you suspect an ankle ligament injury in order to receive proper diagnosis and treatment.
